Privacy

Fat Bear Bracket asks for as little as it can, and sells none of it.

What the site stores

Your email address and password, your display name, the pools you have joined, and the picks in your bracket. Nothing else: no address, no phone number, no payment of any kind. Passwords are stored so that they cannot be read back by anyone.

What other people can see

Pool standings are public: anyone with a pool's link can read them without an account, and they show every member's display name. Email addresses are never shown.

Before picks close, nobody sees anybody's picks. Once picks close, everyone's picks and scores appear on that pool's page.

Email

Account email — verifying your address, resetting a password — is sent only when you ask for it. Tournament email — reminders about picks and results — always carries an unsubscribe link, and unsubscribing stops it for good. Mail is delivered by a third-party provider.

Cookies and analytics

Fat Bear Bracket uses cookies to keep you signed in, and Google Analytics to analyze traffic, which sets cookies of its own.

Google Analytics never receives your email address, your display name, or the name or web address of a pool or bracket page. While you are signed in, a numeric account id travels with it.

Deleting your account

Email support@fatbearbracket.com from the address you signed up with, and your account and everything in it is deleted.
